Psychometric Test

A psychometric test is a standardized pre-employment assessment measuring aptitude, personality, or situational judgment, used to screen and compare candidates objectively. Gulf employers in banking, energy, and graduate and high-volume hiring use them alongside the CV and interview. Practice the format beforehand, and answer personality items consistently rather than trying to game them.

There are two broad kinds. Aptitude tests, numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning, genuinely improve with timed practice, so rehearse the format before test day. Personality and situational-judgment questionnaires reward honesty and consistency; contradicting yourself to look ideal usually backfires. These sit in the screening funnel alongside knockout questions and one-way video interviews. How the whole screening stack works: what is an ATS.
