Technical Interview

A technical interview tests your ability to actually do the job, through problem-solving, coding exercises, system or case questions, or hands-on tasks specific to your field. Common for engineering, IT, finance, and analytics roles in the Gulf, it goes beyond your CV to verify real skill, often live and under time pressure.

Prepare by practising the fundamentals of your field and the specific tools in the job posting, not just interview trivia. Think aloud as you work, since interviewers often score your reasoning and approach as much as the final answer. It is fine to ask clarifying questions and to state your assumptions. Pair this preparation with your competency and behavioural answers. How to prepare across interview stages: fresh graduate CV guide.
