Police Clearance Certificate

A police clearance certificate, also called a good conduct certificate, is an official document confirming you have no criminal record. From mid-2026 the UAE requires it for work-visa applicants of selected nationalities, attested by the UAE embassy in the issuing country. The rollout is phased and nationality-specific, so confirm whether yours applies.

Like degree attestation, this runs through official channels and takes time, so start early once you know it applies to you. It is issued by your home or resident country's police authority and then attested for use in the destination country. Requirements, phases, and covered nationalities change, so verify the current rule with the UAE ICP or your employer before booking anything.
