Degree Attestation

Degree attestation is the multi-step legalisation that makes a foreign degree valid in a Gulf country. Typically the certificate is authenticated by the issuing country's foreign ministry, then by the destination Gulf state's embassy there, then by that state's own foreign ministry. It is required for work permits and skilled-residency routes, and attestation for one country does not transfer to another.

Gulf employers and the skilled routes of the Golden Visa and Premium Residency generally require an attested degree, not just a copy. The chain runs through several offices and can take weeks, so start before you need it, and attest for each country separately since a UAE attestation is not valid in Saudi Arabia. Steps, fees, and digital options change, so confirm the current process with the destination country's foreign ministry. Where credentials belong on a CV: UAE CV format guide.
