Background Check

A background check is an employer's verification of your history before or after an offer: past employment and dates, education and certifications, and sometimes criminal record or credit. In the Gulf it often runs alongside document attestation and visa steps, and it must comply with data-protection rules on how your information is handled.

Assume everything on your CV can be verified, because increasingly it is. Keep your dates, titles, and qualifications accurate and consistent with your references and experience certificates, since a discrepancy discovered here can cost you the offer. If a check needs your consent or documents, respond promptly to avoid delaying your start. How honesty and consistency protect your application: ATS-friendly CV guide.
