Experience Certificate

An experience certificate is a letter from a former employer confirming your job title, employment dates, and sometimes your salary and reason for leaving. Gulf employers, visa steps, and attestation procedures frequently request it, and it is often what proves the GCC experience recruiters filter for.

Keep a copy of an experience certificate from every job you leave, ideally collected on your last day when goodwill is highest. It verifies the claims on your CV, and some countries require it attested like a degree before it is accepted for a work visa. A good certificate states your title, exact dates, and responsibilities; a vague one-liner is worth chasing a better version. How work history is read in the Gulf: UAE CV format guide.
