Qiwa

Qiwa is Saudi Arabia's government digital platform for private-sector labour services, run under the Ministry of Human Resources. Employers use it to issue and authenticate work contracts, process Iqama and sponsorship transfers, manage work permits, and record Saudization status. Without an authenticated Qiwa contract, employment is not officially counted toward an employer's Nitaqat obligations.

For a foreign worker, Qiwa is where the moves that matter happen. Your Iqama transfer to a new employer is initiated on Qiwa by that employer, and your contract is authenticated there. Asking a prospective employer whether your contract will be authenticated on Qiwa is a fair, revealing question. Platform features and rules are updated regularly, so confirm current steps on Qiwa itself before committing to a start date. How Saudi status affects your CV: Saudi CV format guide.
