Onboarding

Onboarding is the process of getting a new hire set up and productive: paperwork, visa and Emirates ID steps, systems access, training, and early goals. In the Gulf it often overlaps with visa and medical processing, so your first weeks mix admin with settling into the role. A structured onboarding is a good sign of an organized employer.

Expect the first days to involve a lot of documentation, contract, work permit, medical, and ID, alongside meeting your team. Clarify your probation goals early, since your confirmation depends on them, and ask who owns your setup so nothing stalls. A chaotic onboarding can hint at wider disorganization, worth noting while you are still within probation. How your start fits the visa steps: UAE CV format guide.
