Hard Skills vs Soft Skills

Hard skills are teachable, measurable abilities like software, languages, or certifications; soft skills are interpersonal traits like communication, teamwork, and adaptability. A strong CV evidences both, but applicant tracking systems filter mainly on hard skills as keywords, so those must appear explicitly and truthfully.

List hard skills precisely, using the exact names and versions a job posting uses, because that is what keyword matching searches for. Do not just assert soft skills; show them through achievements, since a line that proves you led or resolved something beats the word leadership on its own. Balance matters: hard skills get you found, soft skills get you hired in the interview. How to surface the right skills per role: ATS-friendly CV guide.
